ReJoiner can join audiobooks that are split up in too many different tracks. ReJoiner is meant to join/merge the tracks of one folder to one single track. You can also use it for joining chapters or other audio tracks. Audio file types supported by now: mp3, m4a, aif, wav. The result will allways be a mp3 file. Its working through two levels of folder hierarchy.

What's New

Version 1.1.1:

If the files that are to be joined are somewhere inside the iTunes-Music Folder they will be duplicated to the desktop first. This is because of iTunes ability to "manage" the files inside this folder. This behaviour would otherwise confuse ReJoiner. After finishing these files will be moved to the trash. If the files are not in this folder ReJoiner works as normal.
The result folder "...-ReJoined" can now be found on the desktop.
Fixed a Bug that could ReJoiner prevent from detecting some mp3 files correctly what could lead to endless attempts of trying to reencode them.
If ReJoiner is canceld the result folder "...-ReJoined" will be moved to the trash.

Requirements
PPC, Mac OS X 10.3 or later, iTunes 4.0 or later.

Great app! Is it recompressing the files? It hasn't worked for me since I upgraded to OSX 10.4.2, QT7 & iTunes4.9. It seems to copy the files to the desktop alright but then quits out. Looking forward to an update if the problem lies within the Apple updates & not just on my machine.

Another reason for using Rejoiner:
Since my PackardBell Audio Key 256 Mb (MP3-player) doesn't play the songs in the normal order!!
PackardBell doesn't seem to care, regarding their forum-site.
With Rejoiner I managed to make one file out of four of five files of classic music, which together form a symphony. Pretty unpleasant to the parts in uncontrollable order, but thanks to Rejoiner I have some control over that now.

Why would you want to join audiobook MP3s? Simple: You can convert the product to a bookmarkable AAC file with iTunes. And that's a lot nicer than having to keep track of a zillion MP3 files.

I´m sorry to report a rare bug in ReJoiner 1.1 and earlier:

The Problem:
If the files to be rejoined are located somewhere inside the iTunes-Music folder
AND the option "Keep iTunes Music folder organized" is set
- ReJoiner shows a warning with a problem in your iTunes preferences and qutting
itself or
- Some Files will be moved to an other place by iTunes (because of the said
option)
This is a rather strange problem. But in any case there will be deleted no files
at all.
This is aditional to the "normal" iTunes Preferences warning and you
should follow the Instructions shown there first.

Workaround:
- Put the files to be ReJoined to a location outside the iTunes Music Folder
and it will work with no problems.
- Will be fixed in the next Version

Dark Blade,
You ever consider what its like to listen to audiobooks in separate files with iTunes "crossfade playback" option turned on? If the split is at a bad spot or the files are cut poorly you'll have goofy spots. For people without iPods it may be preferable to have one track.

I personally would prefer multiple tracks but I can see the use for some people that would rather have one track.

I'll resist the urge ot be rude to you despite your rude comments to the developer.

I am so tired of people posting negative reviews of a product just because they don't need it. If I don't ever do any graphic design or photo editing, it doesn't mean that Photoshop sucks... I just don't need it.
Please, people, if you don't have a use for a product, don't slam it. Nobody's forcing you to download it.

Well... unlike the other poster, I have plenty of audio book that I would prefer to merge into MY set segments... IE. Chapter 1-5 Getting To Know Yourself through to Learn About Your Inner Power) Charter 6-10 Beginning Uses Of Your Inner Power through to How To Kick Spidermans Arse With Your Inner Power.

So this is just one example, another one... Chapter one itself came to you as 52 mp3s, grrrr must you inner power not to keep someone arse... Now, I just use ReJoiner 1.0 to bring the world piece of mind and calm inner powers.

Back to fighting super heros and building inner power.
