I am running a 6 year old Digital Audio G4 with 1.5GB of cas2-2-2-6 ram, Sonnet Duet dual 1.8ghz and a BFG 7800GS AGP at 425/1250.. And the full game runs as smoothly at maxxed 1920x1200 as my 2.3ghz Athlon 7800GTX powered PC ran the Demo two years ago.
The patch has not done anything as it seems to have dealt mostly with multiplayer exploits. Just wanted to let Powermac people know to not be afraid of this game due to its previous reputation for horrible performance on the PC. Only reason to avoid it would be if you're already burned out by games like the previous Call of Duty or Medal of Honor.
I don't really blame them for stating a G5 processor as a requirement as most G4 systems are soo feeble that its not worth trying. ....But saying that, if you have a G5 (or heavily upgraded dual G4) with a nvidia 6800GT or better you should have a decent experience with this game.

Having said this, COD2 runs smoothly on my G4 without flaw, and I have to admit it is the best WW2 War game yet made by Asypr. This new generation of software games reflect a quality that is fast pace and more detailed, definately superior to the original COD, and it is a huge blast to play (I've only used the single player function to date). I can highly recommend this game to anyone who is looking for an excellant quality war game!
its works with highest options!!

I can't figure out HOW to download Call of Duty 2 on my mac!
I have the requirements that's needed..
But I just can't figure out to download the game.. ( I'm new on Mac ) :p
Like could someone go step by step and tell me what to do?
( It's not a windows game, I bought it from the AppleStore... )
- When I double click the "cod2" Icon this message appears:
" Call of Duty 2 could not locate the "Call of Duty 2 Data" folder. Please make sure
it is located in the same folder as the Call of Duty 2 application."
Could anyone tell me in a human-being way what they mean ??
Thaaaaaaaaaanks..
I finally discovered it was in conflict with the Call of Duty 2 Demo, which I had previously downloaded. This demo shares some of the same folder names as the full game. I removed the demo and the patch installed.
I've seen others with the same problem, but did not find a solution with online searches.
