For those of you that don't know about timers in Halo: Halo works by spawning items (such as power ups) that given time intervals despite when the item was picked up by a player and so this program will tell you when that item is spawning (literally will speak to you as well as many other methods of notification). For the program choose the map you are going to play. When the game in Halo says "Loading" Wait about 2 seconds and then press the "Game On" button. I recommend using this in conjunction with the Xbox version of Halo as it would probably be a pain to swap programs if you are using Halo
What's New
Version 1.5:
  • All items supported! This is a big one. There is now a menu item labeled 'Item Reports' which allows you to choose which items you would like the timer to inform you about spawning with realtime updating (i.e. add an item while the timer is running).
  • Analog Timers. Now in addition to the digital countdown timers there is a analog based count down timer that takes pie shaped chunks out a circle every second. These can be toggled on or off.
  • Halo-Dock. Instead of having text which tells you which items are associated with a time, items are now displayed in dock like fashion with picture icons. When these items are within 10 seconds of spawning in the game they will begin to bounce much like an application bouncing in your dock.
  • Item blast revamped. Item blast no longer will display across your entire window interfering with your control and viewing. Instead it is now located in the top right corner. Additionally the speed of how fast an item is blasted can be modified (Fast Medium and Slow) or it can be disabled all together.
  • Warning and Spawn glow. A recessed cell contains the analog and digital countdown timers, when a countdown reaches 10 seconds the background of this cell glows purple; when the countdown reaches 0 it glows blue.
  • Mini view. For those of you who will either not be able to see your screen, just don't glance at it, or prefer to have smaller interface this view is for you. Mini view takes up a fraction of your screen in comparison to the main view. It features all timer controls, a digital elapsed game time which has the warning and spawn glow when anything is within 10 seconds of spawning or is spawning, and analog countdown timers. There is an option drawer which will come out by pressing the arrow on the top right. In this drawer you will find mini Halo-docks (though these do not bounce, but instead has a spinning wheel next to it) so you can see what items are associated with which time. This drawer can also be sized to your liking. As usual you will still be able to hear the timer speak to you. You can swap between these two views at any time.
  • User Defaults. The timer will remember what items you selected for item reports, whether analog timers are enabled and the item blast speed/off state from the last time you ran the program.

If you are serious about Halo then this timer is for you. I used to have to use a stop watch and remember the times for each item on each level. This makes it much easier and it looks great doing it. Five Stars all the way.

Who ever made this is a worthless cheat who is contributing to the ruin of online games.

Its hard enough to get a decent game online without some looser producing another cheat application.

You my friend....are retarded. Plain and simple. Just no other way to put it. You are retarded. In no way is this Halo Timer a cheat application. In no way does it affect the application, its code, its functionality, or its performance. This application is simply designed to report information that you may not be able to remember off the top of your head. All good halo players use their own timers anyway, most are in the form of digital watches and or cooking timers placed (taped or glued) to their controller. I guess according to you, these watches are cheat applications as well. Additionally, not only is this a standard practice, but it is clean, effective and all in all pretty kick ass. This application is designed to tell you the point in time when items in the game Halo are available, as in when the spawn according to the parameters set by Bungie. It does not force spawns, it does not equip the items for you, it doesnt teleport you to the items, and it clearly does not make all who have downloaded it intelligent, as you clearly support that point. Please have some remote type of idea of what you are talking about before you flame things that people work very hard on. You obviously are no good at Halo, and probably no good at any online gaming, if you do not understand the usefulness, and legitimacy of this application.

Note: forgive me for any spelling errors, I am at work and too busy to perfect calling you retarded, which you still are....

from what I can tell trying to use this, it sucks. it seems it needs constant attention from the player to set timers for things, and how they would know when to triger a timer for everything, including things they can't see at that moment, seems retarded. you'll spend more time fiddeling with the stupid timer than playing the game, thus taking your attention away from the game. how does that help? I understand the idea, and I think such an idea has potental, but halo timer 1.0b1 is just silly. keep at it, maybe this program can get better, I donno.

Yes I realize no one will probably ever read this since the post was made so long ago but just to clear things up. One major use of the timer is that if your whole team knows a weapon is going to spawn, they can all stand over the spot and hold x. When it spawns, they will all get it. I saw this at a tourney and the one team all got os. It was not concidered cheating. Also, it's nice to know when the sniper will spawn so you are not waiting around forever.
