We'd be grateful if you could contact us at support@charcoaldesign.co.uk so that we can make sure we're seeing the same problem you are.
and it is, to my mind, necessary to have an option so that the user can set the time interval to, say, check a site every minute. sounds like overkill, checking a site every minute? well, no, that is what i need.
thanks!

However it constantly takes 15-17% of CPU.
Why so much when it's not checking Webpages?
It takes about 50% when checking.
Thats way too much.
I know my iBook G3 800 with OSX 10.4.6 is old but other apps don't take that much CPU.
So why?

Supporting standard keystrokes like Cmd-Left in the text entry field would be nice, too :)
More worryingly, what is amber.x-dns.com? Subscriber tries to connect to this at startup - probably just a version check (but there's no option to disable this, and there should be). If you deny connections to this address, email notifications don't work. In fact, Subscriber doesn't even try to connect to my mail server. Is it trying to send email via x-dns.com, and if so: why, and what guarantee do we have that our email addresses aren't being harvested? It doesn't inspire confidence :(
