Tried it on a PowerBook and it is very snappy. I'll try it on a G5 tomorrow ;-).

Q1: Is it possible to create an intuitive zoom environment? like: hold the mouse clicked over a spot and see in very LoRes the QT movie that will be rendered?

Q2: Can you add an option where the color gradients are rendered without visible separations?

Q1) Is it a zoom function like xaos that you say?
I think it is difficult because it is necessary to change the algorithm from
the basis.

Q2) Do you want to see the screen under the calculation?
It is displayed like the waterfall because it operates by the MultiThreading.
It is very unsightly. In addition, the calculation time increases for the overhead of drawing.
Therefore, it was done that it was not displayed.

Well, I brought it up, selected a region, it redrew it quickly, but then I couldn't zoom any further... selecting new regions just blipped through the original set instead of digging deeper into this one.

I think that you dug too much deeply. In a general program, the problem of calculation accuracy appears bordering on (w < 0.000000000000010). I think that this is specification rather than the fault of a program.

I'm sorry, either this program doesn't work on 10.2.8 or else I'm missing something fundamental.

Open the program.

Select an area on the set.

Click run. It zooms in on the selected area.

Select an area on the new section of the set. Instead of letting you zoom in, as soon as you start dragging the selection open, the view drops back to the original set.

You can't select a new area within the view to zoom in on.

It seems that it is operating normally in my friend's environment(OS X 10.2.6). It operates normally also in my environment (10.3.3) too.
Please let me know by a mail such a phenomenon was caused.

I like it, it's a great little app, simple to use, and gets the best looking results of any fractal program I've tried on Mac so far, even the ones I paid for. My only suggestion would be to make it available to save a fractal at larger than your screen size so that you can print it out at high quality, that's all it really needs right now.
