iPod Browser is an application used to browse your iPod and actually allow you to copy the MP3s back off the iPod to a destination of your choice.

What's New

Version 1.6:

Added the ability to disable the Extended Window Drawer per user request (That is for you Alissa Rantousa!)
Fixed the bug that caused the NilObjectException when the catalog process was completed.
Added the ability to convert ID3 Version 1 tags to Version 2 (still in testing, but working).

i couldn't open the application on my mac, why?

The app works great. But it doesn't resize when you resize the window. I'm not a programmer so I have no idea why this would be but since I have a very large screen it would be nice it resized

I have downloaded the program and plan to use it, provided that someone can assure me of one thing.

Currently, my iPod is full of songs, and due to tragedy, my iTunes library is totally devoid of them. Were I to plug my iPod into the computer, as would be necessary for copying the songs over, I expect that iTunes would immediately connect to the iPod and delete every song therein, in order to match the iPod's library with its own.

Is there some way to prevent this from happening, or does iPod Browser take care of this issue?

can you not change your itunes to add songs manually, that's how i do it. my library has more songs than my ipod.

The transfer songs manually option will do this. You'll find it under "Edit" and then "Preferences"

Hi,
This sounds like an excellent app.
I was wondering if this program will transfer playlists as well as songs from an ipod to a mac?
Had a major itunes crash, and lost a years worth of mixes :(

Sorry, but no. Currently iPod Browser is only for copying MP3s and editing the ID3 tags. I do like the idea though, and I will see about adding that as a feature in the new version that I am working on (if I can find the time to work on it some more).

Nice, simple app. No frills (a search field would be nice) just meat and potatoes. Best freeware yet.

I am working on updates for this program, and several people have asked for a search field. That is something that I am working on right now! Hopefully I will be able to finish soon, but this doesnt pay the bills so I gotta work before I play. Cheers!

I clicked on More Info and downloaded it there instead. That file seems to have no errors in it at all, and I LOVE THIS APP! It is easy to use, and even access my aiff files! It is free to! Keep up the great work! Although I would like to see an option to disable the drawer if I want. :) :) :)
