BloodRayne is a horror-themed third-person action game. It is set in 1933 and 1938, just before World War II. As an agent of the Brimstone Society, Rayne is sent to a variety of locations (a small swamp town in Louisiana, a Nazi fortress in Argentina, and an ancient castle in Germany) to battle supernatural creatures as well as the Nazi army.

It is a nice game, but this port is aweful. Somehow the ports of Aspyr get worse and worse (C&C Generals...). I have a G4 1.25 GHz with 768 MB ram and an ATI Radeon 9000 (64 VRAM) graphics accelerator. On 10.2 the game ran not good (unexplainable slowdowns at some places while the game isn't that graphic intensive), and this beta patch only fixed the bug that prevented it from running on 10.3. However, the slowdown and lose of control in the game is very irritating, and a new patch still isn't made. Strangely, graphic settings do NOT affect gamespeed at all, so 640x480 at the lowest settings possible is just as chunky as 1280x1024 at the highest settings possible, so probably my CPU is too slow. According to the system requirements, I should be able to play it on a much slower CPU however, so I'm not happy with this at all.

I just used the BloodRayne OSX panther update(s) and both cause the beach ball to spin ENDLESSLY after the AppleScript error.
The error basically says "No such directory"...
