Conan the Librarian X is a prank app where Conan tells you to shut up when the incoming sound on your built in microphone reaches certain levels. This is a port of a very, very old System 7 extension for the Macintosh. It was one of my favorite useless apps for the Classic Mac OS. Ideally, you should install this app on the Mac of someone you want to torture. Simply double click the icon to launch. seems rather too sensitive on my mac - tells me to be quiet every time i even press a key. Please increase the volume level needed to trigger Arnold - then it will be more useful.

This is what you need to do, taken from the developer's website where it is easily found because it is in boldface type:

"If Conan is too sensitive to sounds, try lowering the Input Volume in your System Preferences (under Sound->Input)."

Just a note to those who don't like to use the terminal if they can help it - this program can also be closed using the activity monitor.
Just select it in the list, click Quit Process (upper left), and confirm your choice in the resulting dialog box.

This an amazingly funny little app. My wife and I got laughing so hard that we both ached. It's one of those things that's so silly, so stupid that it just keeps building. You can't believe you're lauging at it, but you can't stop either.
