My problem is with Plum Amazing's customer service, or lack of. First, I contacted them about the upgrade path from the original product. No response. Their site claimed they had no record of my owning a license fro iWatermark therefore I was not eligible for an upgrade.
Then I receive a mass email from Plum Amazing offering a 35% discount on any of their software products (expiration date January 31, 2012). I figure the discounted price for a new license is close to what I pay for an upgrade. I order a copy, enter the discount code at the appropriate time during checkout, the site verifies the discount has been accepted and voila, I get charged full price ($30).
I email Plum Amazing asking what happened to my discount. No response.
So, what am I to take away from these experiences? Plum Amazing's customer service is non-existent? They don't care?
Bottom line... software is adequate but not worth $30. And, Plum Amazing apparently only cares about making money and not their customers.
P.S. The original iWatermark license and the iWatermark Pro license now appear on my customer profile. Amazing, isn't it?

I haven't played with the new features yet, happy enough with the speed up so new features are just gravy.

Was very satisfied with it...
This version adds some bells and whistles, most of them not very useful, but it fails to import my former watermarks (reset them to "default"). I would have to remake them....
Mr Developer do not expect me to upgrade until you've found a way to fix that.
"Pro" Eh?

can you send us samples of your watermarks and contact us? i just found your message. this is not the place for tech support.
yes, some feature are not imported correctly due to limitations and changes to support new things. iwatermark pro is a complete re-write that allows better color control, layout, metatags, etc which were just not possible in the old version.
if you send us your watermarks we may be able to figure out how to make it import those.
we are also open to all suggestions.

thanks for your feedback.

So this little software does what it's supposed to do and it does it very well and in a fast way.
User Interface: The frontend is clean and easy to handle. Once the options are set for resizing, thumbnailing, watermarking, file-type and renaming you can use iWatermark just from the startscreen without the need to go to any detail screen, that makes it very handy.
Also fine that the UI looks and feels the same on an Windows PC (no worry, i just use it sometimes)
Features: The creation of different pre-defined watermark-sets is a great feature i use very often because i manage a couple of sites and so it's very easy to resize/watermark the pics in one step for the particular site. The watermark-editor works fine, you can define pics and/or text and combine it in one watermark with some effects if you like. The preview funtionality gives you an good impression what the image will look like. The "scale" option to constrain the watermark to a specific percentage of the image is a great feature, especially if you have a lot of portrait and landscape pics.
Feature request: what i would love to see in an future release is the possibility to use different positions for watermark-pic and text (for example: text bottom right, and pic in upper left corner) or the use of more than one watermark-set to achieve this (look how the developer of Downsize managed this ;-)).
Support: Support is very fast and reliable. Just had an request on Sunday!! and had an reply within a few hours. That's the way i like it.
Price I think the 20 bugs are a fair price for this software.
Overall Rating:I really like this software and i use it on a daily base. So if you're looking for a software with outstanding features for quick image processing: iWatermark is a good choice.

Normal pictures are rotated, but the thumbs stay 'landscape'....

I.e. I cannot choose a single file to convert, nor a picture to watermark into a file...
Also had a crash on opening 'Edit watermark' window.
When it occurs again I'll send an error report..
Too bad for the bugs, cuz i was looking for something like this!

I have found great use in protecting thousands of pictures ranging from Scottish lochs to the Caribbean underwater and very different backgrounds for the marks.
