Just downloaded Newsletter 2.8.2. Having a problem w/ set up as I'm trying to send a test to myself and keep getting a note saying Failed and check the Log. Using it with Mac Mail. In the Preferences for Newsletter under SMTP do I put my SMTP outgoing address in there? My incoming mail is a POP account. Thanks for the help.
It's just great - I had some problems with the stability of previous releases, but with the 2.6.1 release sending out a mailing to 1000+ users works like a breeze!
And it's free - unbelievable. I've donated via PayPal anyway, since it's helped me a lot sending out mailings to our customers.
I've was having problems sending more that one line of a newsletter using a Dual Core Macmini. In the end I did a Get Info on the Newsletter.app: checked the 'Open using Rosetta' and Hey Presto it works properly. Don't know why, don't care, it's working properly.
Hope this helps somebody.

Ok, I love this software. A client wanted me to send out her newsletter, with links, images, all that html stuff -- but I can barely do web pages (once upon a time, I was a happy print-based graphic artist - sheesh - not everyone loves technology, but life goes on). With NewsLetter 2.1, and not much of a learning curve at all (it has one GREAT HELP FEATURE), I was able to send out a lovely html newsletter PERFECTLY. I thought I would lose a client over not being able to do the newsletter. If I could, I'd hug the developer!
