Taco HTML Edit, a solid app that has been in development for quite awhile.

and on the developer's website it states:
Future Status: 2.1
Template Library - What if you run out of Ideas, use Templates.
Source Library - Whats better then built in source.
FTP Support - Built in FTP client.
Full Color Syntaxing - That will be nice.
Well, the future is NOW because 2.1 is available and it does not have any of these features.

This is just the application I have been looking for. Perfect for editing html files outside of Dreamweaver.
The preview works perfectly. The size is small. The appearence is clean. The icon even looks good and matches the name.
Brilliant job, no complains. HTMLEdit was won a place on my dock.

I have been using Pagespinner for a while and sometimes I wish for a simpler editor.
Maybe you should consider changing your version number to 0.2

This could hardly be compared to something like GraphicConverter. If anything, it looks like someone just followed O'Reilly's "Build Your First Cocoa App" tutorial and slapped an icon on it. No originality. No features. Nothing that has any more to do with HTML editing than TextEdit.
At least it didn't crash in the five minutes I tested it. I can give credit there, but that's not a major feat considering how little this app does.

Not even a beta..more like an alpha...there is nothing..and I do mean nothing in this app...not ready for primtime or for any kind of download.

But really, this is no html editor as of now. Not even a basic one.
The above response to the first review (which wasn't mine, by the way) makes me doutb, though, if this will ever be the GraphicConverter of the basic (or simple) html editors.
Take a look at the very first releases of GraphicConverter and realise why it could rightfully claim to be a basic graphics program even back then.
I'd suggest (for the moment, at least) to simply put this out under the banner "the simplest text editor ever". As such, it is fairly easy to use. As the supposed html editor it isn't, it's pretty difficult: one really needs know html to the fullest (and if you do, then you don't need something like this at all).
Luckily, it's STILL free!!!
