... and then it turned into a wonderful experience. Within two hours, I got a reply (more than one page long) from the developer. He explained to me which mistake I had probably done, and kindly told me I should have read the warnings repeatedly included in the manual. And he was right! I had overlooked the warnings - and I realized it was my mistake.
I replied with a few additional comments and questions, and within one hour I had another long message with additional, precise information.
And finally. happy end: having learnt the lesson and carefully followed the instructions, I did a new run of the script, overwriting the previous data - and all my 1,070 addresses have been imported into Entourage, without any problem.
True, it takes time - it took me more than two hours to have the import done: but it does a difficult job, and it does it perfetcly - provided the user (myself) reads carefully the detailed instructions (45 pages) provided with Sync.
Many thanks to the developer for that tool and for his amazing, kind, efficient support! It is nice to have such experiences!
