PalaceChat is chat software that allows you to interact with other users within a 2d environment online. You can wear, make and share Avatars made from images or maybe your own imagination! You can also design your own virtual world (if you're up for the challenge), with animations, video, games, prop rooms, using whatever imagery suites your taste.

Program works okay except dragging selection rectangles in prop editor. Once this program gets iptscrae support I will buy it. Without iptscrae it is not a complete program and will not work in prop rooms etc. It is definitely a beta as of 2.1. Make it iptscrae and it will....finally...rock.

PalaceChat just keeps getting better. I updated from version 2. I feel that PalaceChat will soon fully replace the "Classic Palace 3.x".
The feel of PalaceChat going through the rooms at my palace, BorgMac, is extreamly fast and add's to the visual effects of my rooms.
One note to be aware of before replacing Classic Palace, scripting is still limited but some the scripts that are supported are as follows:
" `Accept" - for getting avatars that are offered by other Palace Users.
" `Hide" for making one's self invisible on the palace servers.
" `RejectEsp on" and " `RejectPrivate on" are used to avoid personal messaging while in Palace.
" `Tock" is for getting the current servers time.
There are others that I will not go into but for the basic and advanced users in Palace these are invaluable scripts!
Just recently started working on iptscrae with someone who might be able to help with it, will probly take awhile tho. It wont be a walk in the park for me.

I recommend changing the log font to Arial size 11, for all of you who have had a previous version installed.
Version 2.05 changes the style of the log and a ugly mono spaced font isnt needed anymore.
Prop rooms and things of the like are written in a unique scripting language called Iptscrae. PalaceChat does not currently support this unique language.... You will see the messege "That operation is not supported." when you click a door that has a script in it.
Only the original palace client supports this language as of yet.
I am in search of a REALbasic plugin developer to help me develop a plugin from some available C++ code that processes/parses Iptscrae. Eventually i will learn how to do it myself, but help would be nice...

Sweet. I'm sure you have plenty to do getting the bugs out. Lots of palaces seem to use iptscrae, so that'll be a big boost when that gets going. Thanks for your reply.

Is iptscrae working in this version?

I'm having a similar trouble. Just repaired perms, so I'll see. The other thing is, I get a lot of "that operation not supported", like for instance when I go to a room with props and try pushing buttons in the room to see them. Not sure if that's a bug or not.
Have you tried repairing permissions using disk utility? installing 10.3.3 may have screwed things up, just make sure palacechat's directory is a read/write directory, also it may be that the preferences file isnt read/write permitted.
Next release will have more appropriate error messeging.
