What's New
Version 1.0r2 fixed a frequent problem whereby Primate Plunge would not launch. This was to do with Stuffit Expander getting the permissions wrong for the executable, so an updated version has been uploaded in zip format.
Requirements
PPC, PowerPC G3 500MHz+, Mac OS X 10.1 or later.
Be the first to recommend a similar software title.
A great game but sadly broken under OS 10.6, OSX's "Vista" update.

A very simple, yet excellently executed concept. Simply use the arrow keys to drop from branch to branch as they move up the screen. Some branches will reduce Monkey's health, so you need to keep an eye out, while other branches bounce you back up the screen again.
Good graphics, sound, control and gameplay.
Definitely worth the download.
HINT - If the game fails to launch, Force Quit and try again. Works on my G3,400,B&W.

Pretty cool game... Has anyone played NS-Shaft? Very similar concept, and really fun with two players!
To those having trouble launching Primate Plunge - most of the problems have been to do with Stuffit Expander. Make absolutely sure have the most recent version since it is known to screw up the permissions of the executable. Or alternatively, if you know how to use the terminal, cd to "Primate Plunge.app/Contents/MacOS/" and then type "chmod +x Primate Plunge".

Everyone should play this game it's simple to pick up but takes time to master and you'll be so hooked you'll want to master it!
The game is fun, but I think it would be better to have the score go up by the number of ledges you hit, thus making it advantageous to try to get as many. It needs more powerups too.

Hilarious fun. It's the type of game anxiety
I can handle. Love that screaming monkey as he becomes desperate to survive all of the spiny obstacles.

I was following this game on iDevGames for a while - I downloaded the development versions. It's basically like NS-Shaft only with cool stuff like powerups etc, and it's REALLY addictive.
