Biferno is a new generation, Cross Platform Web Scripting Language that allows developers the rapid implementation of dynamic Web applications and of Web sites that offer a high degree of user interactivity.

Biferno is a Web server add-on module that allows dynamic generation of HTML pages. The result of the processing of the Biferno code by the server determines the page content. A Biferno script is therefore a server-side script, i.e. the Web server is tasked with code processing. Biferno is currently implemented only as an interpreted language, but Tabasoft is developing a compiler that will be soon released. Biferno is also a more...

Biferno is an awesome web-application development environment.

It has a clean OOP syntax, probably the best of all.
It has medium type checking, slightly less forgiving than PHP.

has a built-in abstracted native and ODBC database API.

It has a built-in application and persistent scope which rivals PHP6 + APC cache. This gives it a dramatic performance advantage.

the language looks interesting as an embedded language, separate from the webserver part. How much are the two aspects tied together? And how about LGPL on the language part so it can actually be used as an embedded language?

Well, PHP is a force for evil in the world, and Biferno is just redundant. I declare a pox on both your houses.

Tychay,
Yeah yeah... bla bla bla... we get it... you're a PHP fan. Who cares?

If we all thought like you we may as well be saying "Who needs this PHP thing when we have Perl?" Just cause PHP gets you all jollied up doesn't mean everyone else has to use it.

Like someone else, I found it totally amusing that you think this to be a rediculous idea byt Python & Ruby, etc... are totally acceptable. I guess a language is only useful once the geek culture at large has accepted it? I wont use this cause I have no need of another language right now (plus it has a dumb name to be honest), but If someone else enjoys playing with it & learning it, great. God bless em for it & move on.

Now go away before I taunt you a second time.

I fail to see what this does that PHP doesn't do already 100 ways from Sunday. (Well besides WebStar Mac OS Classic support).

PHP is installed by default in Mac OS X (a two line edit to turn on in the client version, easily configurable on Mac OS X Server). It is the most prevalent web scripting language (on more web servers than all the Windows IIS servers out there). It also runs on nearly every web server and nearly every operating system.

Plus, it's installed by all the cheapest hosting sites and has far better database integration.

And if you don't like PHP's quirks there is always Python, Ruby and Perl.

Since I won't use this product, I won't rate it.

And I guess if you don't like PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl you can play with Biferno to.

Isn't that the point?

If you wont use it & wont rate it, why not just not speak? PHP is not Gods gift to the web. Each language has its benifits (note that contrary to popular opinion "market share" or "installation base" is not a "Feature").

Your post is not helpful. Its just annoying & makes people want to slap you with a wet fish.

Don't you think you should take the eyes out first? That way, you can throw the eyes at him/her once you're done with the slapping part.
