> Support for Super Scroll ... in Adobe Photoshop CS5
If only Adobe was this smart. This works for zooming in and out of images with force feedback. Once you learn to control it and adjust the coasting to your liking; it really adds another entire level of control to zooming in & out of images that saves you time and even makes it more enjoyable in the process.
The developer making this feature work again in Photoshop CS5 is spectacular.
If you don't understand what I'm talking about, I made a video of it in action a long time ago here:

J'ai enfin trouvé ce qui bloquait l'élargissement des photos, le diaporama et la navigation dans Picasa avec Safari (et seulement Safari) : Smartscroll ! Je suis un peu en colère : que de temps perdu à chercher la cause du problème. Et je constate que celui-ci n'est pas résolu en passant de 3.9b à 3.9 !
Solution : décocher Auto Scroll. (À noter que l'auto-update et la recherche manuelle de nouvelle version ne fonctionnent toujours pas).
Seul probleme fixé : décocher Hover scroll désactive enfin effectivement cette fonction dans Safari.

I finally found what was blocking the enlargement of photos, slide show and navigating in Picasa with safari (and only Safari) : SmartScroll ! I'm a little angry : what time wasted searching for the cause. And I see that the problem is not resolved from 3.9b to 3.9 ! Solution : you have to disable Auto Scroll. (Note that the auto-update and manual search of new version still does not work).
Only problem fixed: to disable Hover scroll really finally deactivate this feature in Safari.
It should work again in the next stable Chrome release, in the meantime it already works in Google Chrome Canary (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/chromesxs).
I've downloaded, installed, and am using v3.9.0. Just a "heads up" for other Lion users out there, you will need to pay a $7 upgrade fee for this new version. I had no problem with that because I'm pretty sure Marc had mentioned that "way back when" he started work on the changes needed for Lion compatibility. But I'd sort of forgotten that and there wasn't any notice I'd seen about the upgrade fee, so I was taken a bit by surprise. Still, I understand he's put a lot of work into making Smart Scroll work with Lion - and, so far, it's working great!
Just be aware that if you're running Lion, you'll be asked to pay the $7 upgrade fee when you enter the SmartScroll System Preferences. There's also an "Evaluate" button if you want to try it out before paying.
I think there's no charge if you are running an earlier version of OS X. You can run v3.9.0 without an upgrade fee in that case, I think.
With Lion 10.7.1, Chrome 14.0.835.163, and SmartScroll 3.9b4 i have this error all time in console:
[0x0-0x82082].com.google.Chrome: Google Chrome: OpenScripting.framework - can't find entry point LoadHandler in scripting addition /Library/ScriptingAdditions/SmartScroll.osax.
I tried to reinstall smartscroll and restart but no luck... How can i solve this?
Thanks
PD: Anybody with the same issue..... ?
My Machine is a Mac Pro Mid 2010.
According to the product notes, this version is supposed to work with OS X 10.4 or later (I'm using 10.6); but the INSTALLER tells me that it requires Lion!
There are two versions being distributed: one for Lion, and the other for 10.4 to 10.6.8 OS. You downloaded the Lion version. The latest non-Lion version is 3.8.5 and can be downloaded at http://www.marcmoini.com/sx_en.html
MacUpdate needs to further clarify the download links to indicate that there is both a Lion (currently in beta) and previous OS version.
Anyone else having heavy traffic, blocking with Google Reader and Smart Scroll extension activated? Maybe only in interaction with 1Password extension.
I see this issue in Reeder for Mac as well. I've been in contact with developer, who said he was going to look into the scrolling situation with these apps, but that was a month or so ago. Hoping to see this addressed soon, as I use both apps quite a bit.
Nice software, been using for a while now.
I was wondering if anyone can help me on this one: I've notices that on iTunes scrolling on Cover Flow with the trackpad up and down or with the scrolling wheel from the mouse doesn't work any more. When I turn Smart Scroll off, it works again. It doesn't seem to affect Cover Flow on open windows.
Thank you
Version 3.7b1 keeps crashing Safari 5 on my 1st-generation Core Duo iMac, running OS 10.6.3. The crash report gives a message to the effect that "Safari unexpectedly quit while using the Smart Scroll plugin." (I forget the exact wording.) After disabling the SS beta, Safari 5 became completely stable.
Trouble is, I can't revert to the previous stable version 3.6 of SS. All attempts to install it fail because of a message that there's a newer version (the beta) available. Attempts to restore SS 3.6 from Time Machine also fail. The pref pane won't start, and the troubleshooting steps recommended- permissions repair and .plist deletion- are ineffective.
I'm having the "could not start" problem too. I've been CONSTANTLY plagued by it since upgrading to Snow Leopard. I think there's a bug and I don't the think the developer has quite solved the problem (if you read this, Mr. Developer, I'll be happy to work with out on this problem by giving you whatever info you need about my Mac's configuration and the other stuff I'm running).
Even after doing an uninstall from the .app and then a reinstall, I keep getting the following error message when I enter my valid registration information:
-----------------------------------
File error - could not complete registration.
Please see support notes.
-----------------------------------
I upgraded to 3.1.3, and now there is a distracting, "flickering wave" that flows through the content of Web pages as I scroll in Safari and FireFox. It's like a liquid ripple effect.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled. No change. Has anyone else experienced this problem and/or have a fix? Thanks.

Now that the GM 10.7.2 has been seeded to developers, I can but hope Smart Scroll will continue to work when 10.7.2 is released to the public.

It's very odd that the two apps that I have issues with are both Twitter clients. It's probably just a coincidence.
