OSXnews is a small, fast usenet newsreader for OS X. It is designed to look and behave like Apple's Mail program and uses it for all mail functions. It also uses the Webcore engine used in Safari to display messages. It is actively being developed and the current version supports many (though not all ) features people expect in a newsreader. OSXnews is a Universal Application and works well on the new Intel Macs. It also has some support for binary posts. At the moment this is limited to single part yEnc posts. Full support is expected in upcoming versions.

Very nice interface; if you like Mail, you will like this.

BUT, it doesn't handle article threading very well. I had all sorts of posts that should have been in the same thread strewn throughout.

Also, the second time I ran it when I clicked on the group I subscribed to the messages showed up briefly, and then disappeared, I couldn't get them back.

It looks nice, but it still needs some work.

This software seems to work just fine on 1.4.4. No crashes, very easy to setup, and slim size.

I wish there were a filter to just show articles with the relevant title.

Excellent piece of software!

I couldn't get it to do anything I tried to subscribe to a group, list groups, the program just didn't do anything.

Very nice interface, easy to use. Does a good job with article threading. I look forward to when it gains more features, such as killfiles and filters. If your newsreading needs are basic, this app is a very good choice.

Looks good to me. Works fast and seems to be reliable. Far more intuitive that the ugly "MacSoup"... ;-)

Might need some additional possibilities to manage the news, but let's wait and see...

This is a small and fast little Usenet app that looks like Apple's "Mail".
Works great for browsing my newsgroups.
The only thing that it needs are more keyboard shorcuts for reading messages.

Crashes ALOT! Especially when using the Refresh function. It does look great though. Would love if it were much more stable.

Very nice program. Runs fine on my Imac and OSX 10.3.

It would be much easier to use if there was a way to show only read messages. Or an otion to show read or unread messages.

i hope that in next version will be the support for accented vowes. This is a great problem for european users.
I think should be a good idea change thi icons of "back" and "newsgroups".
Good app!

This app looks great, but won't list anything for my University of Phoenix newsgroups. I made sure that all of my information is correct, it just won't show anything at all.

Help, developer!
