It is a strange problem. It seems that the PhoneAgent preferences file may be corrupted. Please delete this file: Users / "Your user name" / Library / Preferences / PhoneAgentPrefs
(Then select the port in the PhoneAgent preferences again.)
Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, I don't have a preferences file! The program didn't make it that far. The error appears while the splash screen is still displayed, before it asks me for the port to use.
Any other ideas? I really would like to give this a try.
Once again I would like to thank the author of this fabulous program for his priceless support. I had some issues with my registration procedure of version 1.4.4 and in no time I received an appropriate answer to all my questions. This application is exceptionally powerful and very well written but the support that the users receive from its programmer makes it even hundred times better. This is how the Mac developers should treat their customers. Thanks for being so wonderful. I really appreciate it. Fariborz AMIRSHAHI - Verona (Italy)
this morning as I tried to update to vs143 my serial was refused by the online registration process (license fromm dec 06). I mailed my prob to macmedia and received the answer and solution within 3 hours! This is what I call SUPPORT on a saturaday morning (CET)
The program, btw, is superb!
I have been using PhoneAgent for a few years. Support from the author, Peter, has been absolutely phenominal.
I teach at a university, and sometimes I want to mass-SMS to my students. I have their cell #'s in Excel which is exported to a tab-delimited text file. PhoneAgent easily imports the text file with cell #'s, which enables me to send the same messages to multiple receipients.
Furthermore, you can now send different messages to different #'s as well. I use this new feature to SMS my students' exam scores. They love the quick feedback better than email.
For anyone looking for a cell phone program, I wholeheartedly recommend PhoneAgent.
I agree with the former comments her. Price is a little bit steep but the programme works perfectly and the manual is very clear. Phoneagent is really well done.

to synch w/ address book, iSync works for me.
To send txt messages, BluePhoneMenu does the job (and more).
To create themes, the editor from Sony Ericsson works great.
So, in short, not worth the $$ for the few other features that this app offers in my own personal opinion.
PhoneAgent is an excellent app to get your Sony Ericsson T610, T616, T630, T637, Z600, K700i, K750i mobile phones synced and customized via OSX. It is very simple to use and yet provideds a multitude of options to get these phones organized and customized. Address book, themes, files, etc. It works as advertised. Good work!

I suggest you people.. to TRY A FREE PROGRAM that does almoust all this things and something more. Float's Mobile Agent. Works with all SE Phones and is FREE !. Use google.
For sure Phone Agent, does NOT worth the money
There is NO OSX version as essentially what this app does is already incorporated into OSX. Windows once again lags behind ;)
PhoneAgent is far superior.
This looks interesting - unfortunately when I run the program, shortly after the splash screen appears, I get a dialog that says "An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down."
Almost the same problem for me. After trying to send SMS getting message: An exception of class OutOfBoundsException was not handled. The application must shut down.

I for one would not have changed my software if I'd known this.
Now I can't get hold of the previous version, which worked fine for me!
Bugger, bugger, bugger!
