Steam reads and stores the schedules for the user's choice of BBC Radio stations and displays a list of what's on now in a small window. It will remind you when a favorite programme is about to start and allow you to quickly start that programme playing through RealNetworks' RealOne Player.

What's New

Version 3.1:

An "Embedded" player, you no longer need to use the Real Player application (though it must be installed on your system)
Now Playing window can show the time in the UK and has even more flexibility in appearance options
Added flexibility in using the Find command
Personalize the "listen again" page for each station to pick a different URL

Great! Now my father will have a comportable interface for his very much prefered BBC he can´t receive in southern germany via satellite. Thanks a lot!

This program is abslutely excellent. A must-have, especially if you are an expat like me. It's amazingly functional, compact and user-friendly. There should be a Steam for all radios!

Just gets better... all it needs now is an AppleScript to tell WireTap to open and start to record.

been using this for a quite a while now and what a superb piece of software it is. without a doubt the BBC is the world finest radio station and this is a great way to access it. although the BBC radio player is a good way to access, I much prefer using this app.

every mac user that likes their radio should have this app installed. Also, as the BBC moves to shift content and older archives online I can see this program being a great way to access those also.

Brilliant app. Allows me get the most out of internet radio without having to bookmark various BBC sites/streams or check my watch to see when a programme is due to start. I can't even suggest any more features: everything a listener needs is here.

Great idea to collect the BBC radio schedules and place them in a customizable window. One important stream was missed: the World Service has two primary 24-hour english language streams: the "InfoEnt" and "live-news" versions. The "World" selection in this app chooses "InfoEnt." Would be nice to see both - or perhaps some way for the user to customize...
I doubt I'm the only American whose primary source for *domestic* broadcast news has become the BBC. But the addiction started 30 years ago.... now if we could get John Tusa back....
