Help!!

I'm not too happy right now.

I have itunes, with a mac OSX

I was transfering over some songs to the pod when suddenly I my computer froze

When I rebooted I looked in the ipod and EVERYTHING is lost. No songs, playlists, artists, nothing!

The weird thing is that it says Capacity: 18.5gig Availability: 6.0MB. As though the files are still on the drive but the reference link to their location has vanished.

Is there a solution to this?

please e-mail me or coment

not very smart to use a software that has no homepage and is about two years old, without any recent updates...

I found a program that worked for me when all my songs were greyed out and Apple support said there was nothing to do but reset and sent it back to the factory. Here it is. http://www.thelittleappfactory.com/application.php?app=iPodRip

Grade-D software. It works, but poorly. You can only browse the iPod's contents by file name (example: "04 SomeSongTitle.m4a"). If your iPod has 100's of songs, locating a particular one is like finding a needle in a haystack. When you copy songs, this app doesn't prompt you for a location or tell you where it's saving the file. Finally, the user interface is poorly designed. The list font is distorted and too small and the brushed-metal window is even uglier. Skip this one -- there are many other free iPod utilities out there which do the same thing, and do it better.

To the comment below, there are a lot of apps that do this, but most of them are shareware. I myself payed for one a while back, and it is wonderful. Have yet to use this, but it is the only free alternative that I know of.

first ive seen of this kind. You can rip directly off the actual songs in the ipod. To share before ive had to copy songs as files which is a drag. Unfortunatly you have to scroll to find songs as there is no individual search feature. Still beats the alternative!

• Update notes
• Eject iPod
• and much more..
