Trying to download, but page can not be found. Too bad. I really need to get the music from ipod to my mac.

It seems as though everyone is having trouble with this program. Is it worth getting and using if it's like this?

And has anyone had this program somehow mess up your ipod, or itunes, or even something else on your computer?

If you're getting the "this_ipod2" error message, try

Ctrl + click on the ipod in the iTunes left hand column.
Click: Open iPod (before you do this, make sure you have set the ipod to manual music setting) and the ipod screen in iTunes should open in a new window. ITunes will ask you something like: are you sure you wanna open, just say yes.
Then Ollie's SHOULD recognize your iPod.

This at least worked for me. I tried to get Ollie's to recognize my ipod for the longest time, and all I got was the "this_ipod2" bull crap, but when I opened the iPod in a new window within iTunes, Ollies seemed to catch it. And my music is being extracted as I type.

Copying my tracks back worked fine, sync rating and play counts too,

but i got the following on syncing Playlists:

AppleScript Error
iTunes got an error: Can't get every track of playlist "Library" of source "Library" whose name of it = "Let there be light". (-1728)

What could i do???

I couldn't be more pleased! After accidentally losing my iTunes Library this week, I've been in a panic to find a way to recover it by downloading my iPod to my Mac. Apple was certainly no help and several independents with software had complicated directions and didn't work for me. Not only was Ollie's iPod Extractor free (I was happy to VOLUNTEER a $15 donation) but it did ALL of the thinking for me. I recovered over 1500 songs! Thanks.

Ollie's extracted from my Ipod. However when I installed into I tunes some songs only play for a few seconds. the entire song is there as I can fast forward or start half way through the song. However, when left to play from the beginning it stops after a few seconds. does anyone know how to fix this?

I connected my ipod to the computer to extract musics as guided and followed the process, and I came up with /bin/sh:....argument list too long error message(126)

When I attempt to use the Extractor, I immediately get an AppleScript error saying it can't copy an m4a song. That's fine, I know that format is protected, but the program just stops running after the error, rather than skipping the song and going on. I only have a few m4a songs, but the Extractor won't copy anything at all over from the iPod.
