Vanilla FTP is a simple FTP client written in AppleScript that takes advantage of Mac OS X's cURL implementation. You can upload, download, and delete files, all in an intuitive, bare-bones interface.
This is an alpha version, so use Vanilla FTP at your own risk. It is also completely open, enabling developers to modify it however they see fit, but I take no responsibility for any damage, whether intentional or accidental, that anyone does with this application.
Upcoming improvements:
A more consolidated interface, with an easier way to set preferences
A funny little application. The interface is sorely lacking, but I guess that's what you get when you do something completely in AS, with no interface files. Having said that, it worked great for my basic upload and download needs, and it must be the smallest application ever. I have simpletext readme's that are bigger than Vanilla.
Tried to use this to upload files to my CrushFTP server, keeps getting errors... too bad, this would have been a nice thing to send to my clients for file uploads to my server.

I'll be curious to see how it develops.
