quickWebAlbum creates photograph albums from a folder of JPEG files. Two types of album can be created, one that provides a page of thumbnail images linked to large versions of the pictures, the second type of album automatically changes images to produce a 'slideshow'.

JAlbum (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/12793)

is FREE and has many feature.
I just create a web catalog of clickable thumbnails of 23,000 pictures. NO PROBLEM at all. The latest version also utilizes multiple processors if you such a Mac.

I looked at 5-6 different apps and JAlbum is simple the best!

Sorry, Casdious, but JAlbum *does* generate also clickable thumbnail pages, with the capability to choose among plenty of templates. Not only that, it does much more (extract and show exif data on demand, scripting, high level of customization,....). And it is FREE. So, I share the first comment in this thread: why should I pay for something when there's something else around which is better and free?
