All I can say is........IT'S ABOUT FLIPPIN' TIME!!
This update is what I have been waiting for. Not because its some mega performance booster or anything, but mainly because it adds the ONE feature that the Mac OS has never had for gamers. What feature you ask? How about the ability to FINALLY be able to adjust the anti aliasing, anisotropic filtering, performance/quality setting, and vertical sync. At last, forking over $649CAN for a Radeon 9800pro isnt a total waste of money because now I can actually use its real features. In other words, the ability to run MOH and UT2K3 at quality settings with 4x AA and 8x AF. The minute I saw UT2k3 with these turned on, it looked like a totally different game. Absolutely AMAIZING texture/image quality.
The best part about this new ATI panel is that it allows you to set up an individual quality profile for each game. So, if i want to play MOH with 2x AA and 4x AF and then play UT2k3 with 4x AA and 8x AF, i dont have to keep changing the settings back and forth since the control panel makes a different profile for each game that i can adjust whenever i want.
Thank you ATI for FINALLY answering my requests.
