It's been quite a long time since a review was posted, but Virtual ][ is an excellent, excellent emulator. There are a few different Apple II emulators around, but Virtual ][ provides the best experience by far. Supports a lot of models and different internal options and cards, and a great attention to detail (perhaps my favorite example of this is the fact that the disk seek noises are actually faithfully reproduced in real time). Supports a lot of image formats and interacts well with ADTpro, good host integration including the ability to mount a folder as a ProDOS volume. And it is actively maintained. Much cheaper, better connected, faster (if you want it to be), and more space efficient than the physical machine, and you'll never any need to reseat or replace the RAM chips.
can someone please tell me how to play games with 2 disks. how do i insert them and play them when it asks me to switch to disk 2. the creator of the app never responds to me

games with 2 disks :
click on the disk drive at the bottom of the screen to eject first disk, then insert disk 2.
Sure, but for $50, I don't have an extra computer cluttering up my house for those few times that I get a hankering to play Arcade Boot Camp...

Very nice, well designed and working emulator. Yet way overpriced! Yes, I know it takes time to develop such thing, possibly much more than a generic doc-based application. Yet with this expectations I am not going to even think of spending a penny on it.- the price has changed some revisions ago, so has my attitiude towards this app.

This application is awesome! Apart from running all my favourite games from my primary school days, I can actually do some useful stuff as with my Maths class!
The licence is a bit costly, but well worth the money!

V][ is great fun for fans of the Apple ][ machines. Very faithful emulator. Whenever Ive emailed the author he's been responsive and even added some features I suggested. V][ is obviously being actively updated and improved.
This great app brings me back to my Apple ][ days.
Wizadry, the original Castle Wolfenstein, Bolo, 7 Cities, Choplifter, Pirates! The list goes on and on.
Thanks Gerard!!

I would give a squirrel's nuts for an emulator of the 512K era Mac. Congrats to the folks keeping the past in the present.
