Quit Anything is simple application that can be used to quit processes. It lets you quit multiple processes all at once without having to switch to each one, and also lets you quit background processes (a.k.a., 'Faceless Background Apps' or 'Daemons').
Please note that there are many system processes which run under OS X which cannot be seen by AppleScript and so this program can't actually quit anything as the name suggests. (Hey, the name was accurate when it was first created. :-) )
What's New
Compatible with OS X 10.4
Added UNIX Killall access (via menu item).
'Quit Everything' feature to quit everything without prompting the user.
The main window is now (once again) centered on the screen.
Quit events are now sent asynchronously.
When brought to the foreground, the process list is updated.
Excellent little utility. One wish for future versions is the ability to quit processes from other users. This would be particularly handy for easily quitting iTunes when needed.
Can't download it correctly with Safari, IE or iGetter: get only 43 k instead of 66 k and a corrupted archive. could somebody or developer maybe mail a valid file to me ? Thanks !
