The long-awaited Civilization III map editor.

What's New

Version 1.32.1 adds the following:

Added some more improved artwork, courtesy of "ejday" from the CivFanatics Mac forum.
"Precision Bombing" and "Interception" had their functionality transposed in the "Air Mission" unit options.
Fixed bug with garbage text appearing at the end when editing city names, etc.
The splash screen dialog was not centering properly.
Fixed issue where numerical spinner controls would not update properly when moving amongst various items in a given rule page.
The "Palace" civilopedia entry was showing up as blank. The fix for this may also correct other instances where text entries would show up empty.
Using the spinner controls to alter numbers would often result in the data getting out of sync. This was most obvious when scrolling up and down through icons.
Changing the starting units available to a given player resulted in an assertion dialog and incorrect changes.
Two checkboxes were inadvertently left out of the "Improvements" section of the "Improvements & Wonders" rule page.
Fixed issue with wrong colors being displayed for the civs.
Spiffed up the artwork, with thanks and help from the regulars on the Mac CivFanatics forum.
Fixed crashing issue when launching the editor. It could happen on any setup, but was especially prevalent on 10.1.x.
Fixed issue with setting non-existent toolbar mode on 10.1.x, causing the app to become unresponsive.
Fixed some disabled/broken menu items in the application menu.
Switched development from ProjectBuilder to CodeWarrior 8.3.

If the given download link doesn't work for you (it didn't for me), try changing the port number from 8080 to 8081. It worked for me...

well once again i am filled with hope only to be let down. i do what it tells me t do reply after reply but still im without an editor. i know its possible since the new gold edition has it. but i already spent $5o i sure am not going to spend another $50

It didn't work for me before. Then I found out there is a new patch for Civ III the game and once the game is updated, the editor will work. You have to go to the Macsoftgames.com website to get the Civ III update.

I would love to know how you can set where specific civiliazions start on the map (so mine always started in the same spot.

put it in the civ3 file-still doesnt work- i was really looking forward to having an editor and when i got it i was soooo happy-then it doesnt work- what gives??

u need to download a patch for civ 3 for the editor to work

You need to put it in the civ 3 folder and it works perfectly !!

i had been looking for an editor online for a long time and then i fianlly found it here so i downloaded it and it doesnt even work.... every time i go to generate a map it quits on me... very diassapointed

Its not working. I hit the "generate map" button and it quits the edditor. It could just be me (as always), but i doubt it. If its anny use to anny body, im on an apple ibook, mac os 10.2.6. Im verry dissapointed.

The app runs, but it doesn't seem to work on my dual 1 GHz Mac running Mac OS X 10.2.6 (1.75 GB of RAM). No drawing tool appears, and attempting to generate a world or make any settings changes results in numerous program errors (exception in XXXXX.cpp) followed by crashes.

Testing on a plain-jane account on this machine, on my Aluminium PB G4, and 17" iMac always produces the same results as outlined above.
