SnapNDrag lets you take a screenshot by simply clicking a button and dragging the resulting screenshot out of the application window.
For example, to email a screenshot, you would drag the screenshot from SnapNDrag to the Mail application. It is that simple. No hard-to-remember key combinations, no file conversion to deal with, no file dialog boxes to navigate, no temporary files to erase later on.
Supports PNG and TIFF for times when image quality cannot be compromised. Or use JPEG with adjustable quality for smaller file sizes.

Improved sorting the in History view.
Now allows "/" in filenames.
Reorganized preferences.
Requirements
PPC / Intel, Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later
Just upgrade to Pro after using SnD for a couple of years. I like it's ease of use. However, two optional features I'd like to see:
1. Entire webpage saved, not just what appears on the screen.
2. Easier way to save files from the interface. Perhaps I'm not doing it right, but capturing the image and then having to use the regular "Save As" command, locating a folder into which the image is to be saved, seems a big convoluted.
Bummer. As I write, Yellow Mug has reduced the price of SnD sold via the Apple Store by half, to $2.99 per copy. Darn. I just paid full by working off of the SnD Preferences. Wish there was some way for SnD to inform customers when a sale is in process! (I own FileChute, too. It's already registered.)
Very Friendly user interface with a LOT under its engine, this is one of my favorite photo and image capture Utilities for years now. Please, keep up the GREAT WORK.
I've been using SnapN'Drag for many years on a daily basis. I find it an indispensable utility. I rate it five stars in all aspects but, for some reason, the rating page assigned 4.5 stars to two of my ratings and I can't change them.
SnapNDrag is one of all-time favorite applications. I use it several times per week. It is easy to use and extremely reliable. I highly recommend this application to all Mac users. Thanks to the developer for such a great product.
I have used a number of screen capture utilities over the years and I keep going back to this, for it's simplicity in getting the job done. Works 100% of the time, 3 option choices cover ALL of my needs. I highly recommend this utility for you screen capture needs. I also use a number of other applications from Yellow Mug Software. Do your self a favor and buy the Bundle of 9 applications ( ALL are winners in my book ) for $40. Between SnapnDrag and File Chute ( BOTH received 4 Mice ratings from Macworld ) you'll be satisfied with the bundle - I also use SizzlingKey for controlling iTunes and YemuZip for a drag and drop solution to making ZIP files. I am in no way connected with YMS or any of it's employees, I am a 100% satisfied customer. Give their products a test drive, it's not going to cost you any $$$ and I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised.
I have used this 5 star app for years. As far as IÕm concerned, Apple should open their check book, and pay Yellow Mug a mil (or two) for this app, and then include SND with the OS.
But I do have two nits that even the developers are wrestling with:
1) I am unable to use the Òarrow pointerÓ, instead I always get the cross hairs.
2) I cannot get the sound to work.
Does anyone else have these problems or suggested solutions?

This used to (Thru OS 10.5.8) take screenshots of windows in DVD Player (the greatest reason for purchasing).
Just added this to my newest machine (MacPro) running 10.6.6, and try as I may - only get blank images.
Anyone else?
