Useful, reliable application. Had it for a long time and intend to keep it current. Thanks, developer.

an excellent little menubar app.

easy to configure as a timer or stopwatch. settings remain between instances/restarts (if you always use a 43 minute timer, the setting sticks indefinitely until you go to prefs and change it).

easy to get the display to format how you want it. view days, hours, minutes, seconds, miliseconds and any/all combinations of them.

if the application does have a drawback it is a small one: when choosing the preferences, for some reason the pref. window does not get focus. so, to make a change you must first click on the window rather than just tabbing thru the fields (to change the timer's values for example)

great little app. i hope it still works in 10.4. i'd miss it.

Does anyone know when this program will be available again? I am desperate for a menubar timer.

I'm hoping it will be available soon, too. In the interim, I'm using Time-X (from "Mac OS X Software" site). Yet, it's more obtrusive than MenuTimer.

There is also Chimoo Timer. Or you can email me and I'll send menutimer along to you. You can reach me at experienced47@hotmail.com.

Just downloaded Menutimer in an effort to gain a bit more control over my recent obsessive bout of computing, netsurfing, etc.
Menutimer does exactly what I want it too in a perfectly unobtrusive manner. All the preferences repsectively apply to the two simple states you choose between: using it as a countdown (timer) or keeping the time runnng (stopwatch). I found it simple and I like it's integration with the menu bar. Thanks much to the developer for the idea and well-managed execution.

I've only just started working with it, but I forsee no problems. If this should change, I will return and post my experinces.

Was able to set the preferences, but the operation was so erratic as to be worthless. This little app needs a lot more work.

This never works for me.
Whenever I choose Start it says:
Choose the Preferences menu item to enable the timer's fields.

This regardless of what settings are in preferences.

I'm running OS X 10.2.5 on a TiBook 800Mhz DVI.

I'm holding off on a review, because it doesn't work for me,

Anonymous: you have to use the check boxes in the preferences window to tell MenuTimer which fields you want to use.
