Shows CPU Usage (user, system, nice) in menu bar, launches Process Viewer.
I agree that the program wasn't made well, but you can always go to the Activity Viewer in your utilities folder and force the program to quit, then just delete it, which I just did.
First, I accidentally launched it from the disk image, making the disk image impossible to delete, since this app always showed itself "in use." Next I could not find a way to uninstall it from my menu bar. Thirdly, when I restarted my Powerbook it hung and wouldn't load OS X. I often think many negative reviews are just from cranks, but in this case, whew, STAY AWAY!
I like! All the other system info type tools are over done and I find myself just using uptime or top on the command line. This is the perfect GUI for uptime and for top's processor percentage info. It's small size is not only better than the othe GUI stlye tools as far as processor power required taken away from your other apps, but it takes less power than top its self.
Works great for me in 10.3.5, apart from having been designed for 10.2 and having process viewer instead of activity monitor in the menu. Nice little app - very simple. And this is not a menu extra - so it's not supposed to be moved around by control clicking ...
first of all:
the readme is in some asian laguage! doh.
1. you can't drag it from the menu bar, since apple-left-click isn't implemented properly.
2. launch process viewer does not work
tested on 10.3.2, 1GHz PowerBook.
THIS PROGRAM IS A PIECE OF @*#$! YOU CAN'T QUIT IT, EVEN IF YOU DELETE THE PROGRAM FROM THE APPLICATIONS FOLDER! To install this application, all you do is copy it from the image to your apps folder... so, you would assume that all you would have to do to uninstall it is delete it, then restart. Well, I tried that and IT'S STILL RUNNING! I've searched my entire HD for things that would have something to do with BEE and I can't find anything! The creator of this program REALLY needs to get his act straight so he doesn't cause the people who installed this program to have to reinstall the OS just to get rid of his/her @#*(ty program!
by the way...
you can quit bee. :)
use Activity Monitor (apple-1 to show activit monitor window).
filter for bee, press quit process.
