I use iAlarm 2.03 which seems to be the last to support PPC. After iAlarm recently have failed me twice to awake from sleep in a recently installed Leopard OS, with no screen password, I decided to abandon it. It used to work really well though.

"Buy before you try !"
Is that new App Store Slogan (ASS) ?
I dont like that.

What if I don't like the program ?
Does it come with a money back guarantee ?

Quite good, does the job.

The sleep function volume cut off is too abrupt... Needs to fade out slowly.

This is a great alarm clock. Every morning I wake up to hear the latest NPR news which is super cool and then my iTunes start to play. It is super easy to use and there seem to be a lot of neat features I am not using yet. I would recommend this.

Version 1.x is a great product. Period. Nothing wrong with version 2.x, I just don't need to spend another full registration fee 30 days after purchasing version 1.x.

Love the program 1.X version. Purchased license Dec 3, 2007. Now costs full price for upgrade for 2.X update. Sorry, don't like it that much.

I liked this lil program so much that I purchased it. It wakes me up in the morning with the weather and my favorite tunes. Can't complain.

Not a bad little program...but be careful. I used it one night and the next morning my machine had locked up in sleep mode, then wouldn't boot up. I had to reinstall my OS...not cool...this may have had something to do with it.
Also, it's not free...don't listen to the lies!

On the app's page here on MU it says 'Shareware'. What is ambiguous about that?

I assure you your machine locking up is 100% unrelated to iAlarm.

1. It is not free, let alone GPL (you guys at macupdate should add an "Open Source" entry in your "licence" category) your should so change the licence type/ The nag screen is particularly annoying.

2. Weather only works for US. Nowhere can I configure for another server, country…

3. There is no "fade in" function to permit higher volume as time passes (common for alarm clocks). The "snooze" option doesn't work for iTunes

4. It doesn't save configuration upon closing

As a conclusion: if I found it before my appointment (instead of after) I would not have been in late. Out of that, it doesn't fulfill its promises and is certainly not worth the money. A free app would be merely satisfactory for infrequent uses, a shareware one is clearly not.
