Update only used with the LaserJet 1220 All-In-One printer/copier/scanner or the LaserJet 1200 which has been upgraded with the optional scanner/copier unit. Not needed with the basic LaserJet 1200. Do a thorough read of the H-P ReadMe before you spend the time to download a 12+ MB file which you may not need.
