Chandler is a Personal Information Manager (PIM) intended for use in everyday information and communication tasks, such as composing and reading email, managing an appointment calendar and keeping a contact list. Because of the ease with which Chandler users can share information with others, Chandler might be called the first Interpersonal Information Manager. The term PIM was first used in conjunction with the product Lotus Agenda in the 1980's. Chandler is the spiritual descendant of Agenda and has a common designer in Mitch Kapor.

I'm on a mission to evaluate all PIM and Todo software, and I soooo want to look at Chandler, but it's proving impossible. Me? 1.42 g4 eMacs 1gb ram and 1.67 g4 powerbook, 1.5gb ram both 10.4.11.
On both machines I can get to Chandler startup, but immediately I try to use any of the functionality, Chandler grabs all my memory resources and it's hello to the beachball until I quit the app from within activity monitor - which shows 'python not responding' whilst using 95.6 of my cpu power. I've info'd the devs, and I'll keep trying and report back here. Maybe Chandler works well under Leopard?

It's great to finally see Chandler at version 1.
Development was a bit slow, but I'm looking forward to using Chandler.
I currently use Contactizer Pro, and have used Daylite in the past.
Years ago I was using Now Up to Date and Contact under OS 9, along with Chronos Consultant at one point.
Chandler has looked very promising for a long time. It's early to post a review, but I'll definitely spend a few hours with Chandler.
Congratulations on reaching version 1 :-)

Chandler looks very promising. This could be a killer app IF stability and speed improve. I've been playing around with Chandler, and imported some iCal calendars--so far so good. Adding an event from within the app caused it to throw a bug. Creating an email from within the app threw a bug. My other issue is that overall its a little slow.

The layout concept of the dashboard, collections, and the triage table view will work for me, when the app truly works. Its billed as RC (release candidate), but I would say it feels more like a mid to late cycle beta version. Its getting there, but it ain't there yet!

I like the idea of this...but the application won't load for me and is making my computer run very slow.

I've been waiting over fifteen minutes for this app to finish launching I am getting nothing, save for some very hefty cpu usage.

Looks like a loser to me, but what do I know? The d--- thing won't event launch!
