LOVED using SnapClip 1.6 with Jaguar. Now that I'm using Panther, I cannot capture reliably. Usually the key combo to start capturing works, but then clicking to complete the capture doesn't work right away and my mouse is stuck to a rectangle! Esc doesn't work and upgrading to 1.7 didn't work.

Still working on 10.4.10, but I'd to change the output : "slashes" were converted in ":" in viewing and I can't open images, but replacing "/" by "-" works.
Thanks for SnapClip.

Hopefully this great tool will be as great in freely defining the modifier keys for the shortcuts like in FreeSnap 1.0a11!

For example: I don't want to use Command_Shift_5 etc., but Alt_Ctrl_F. So please update this little thingy. Then it would be
p e r f e c t .

Cant say I really have any complaint about apples built in screen capture functions or much of a reason to try this. The QuickImage contextual menu offers easy enough access fo rme to convert the PDF into any format I want (Multiple JPEG options included), without the loss of converting something from a JPEG which I've never liked using off of the web anyway.

This has worked great for me under Jaguar. I esp. like the thumbnail saved on the icon and the ability to clip and save straight to JPEG. I passed over other free screen capture programs for these two features. (The auto dating in the file name is also a plus.)
Now I'm testing it under Panther.

Hi, Hide Itoh,

your free SnapClip 1.6 is soooooooooo great!
You did what Apple should have done.
Thank you so much for everything.
You're a greater genius
than Steve Jobs.

Just one last wish:

Users should be able to choose this date&time file name:

YYYYMMDD-hhmmss.jpg

... Because then, if the files are listed by name in a folder, they are also listed chronologically by date. And then, everything is
p e r f e c t ... :-)

Thanks again; would be glad hearing from you;
Greetings from Germany ...
A.

I just love this. The sound of the camera shutter is cool and really fits the freeze frame. Now with photo shop and jpeg, I don't have to convert the image. Great!

The Command-Shift-O shortcut for calling up Preferences doesn't work for me in Panther... anyone else?

Great screenshot tool. Fills the void that is missing with the OSX built in tool.
