I wanted it to work because I am a Mac fanatic. I would love nothing more than to move all my day-to-day operations away from PCs. Unfortunately, for market data and trading, we are (still) stuck with PCs. It is one of the few places they outperform.
MarketAnalyst is clumsy and clutters the screen. The graphs do not scale well in size. The axis do not auto-scale to a dynamic range that makes the most use of the charting space.
The demo program should be fully functional and not pre-populated with data. Not much use if you can't see the "real-time" in action.
By the way, I hope the authors are aware of the legal issues of distributing real-time data to licensed market professionals like myself. I'd assume they are, hence my skepticism of the "real-time-ness". This isn't something that comes for free. Especially not to an RIA with a series 7, 55, 63 and operating within broker/dealer.
Again I would love for this, or any other, Mac program to get the job done properly. I would gladly pay MetaStock prices if it did. I am sorry to say MarketAnalyst is a long way away.
Move the decimal point to the left at least one place. Worth $19.99 at best.

There is no reacurring monthly fee, and upgrades have always been free. A policy we don't anticipate changing.

The graphing is quite good, I did not understand how to draw intra day data at first, but after looking at their web site I got it. end of day drawing is very cool, offers pretty good TA tools, one will note the availibitity of fibonacci retracements and the possibility to export the graph to a PDF file that can be posted on web sites...
Some of the features such qs the market scan and the trading system are quite interesting, but I dont use them so I wont comment on them. In summary for 300 dollars this package offers quite a lot of features, some of them such as the option calculator, Max pain and the Level 2 window, by themself just make the application an awesome value.
