The MAS version wouldn't be accepted with root access.

I use it regularly for searching and deleting files. Program files, bits and parts of software hidden in the deepest corners of my Mac.
Problem: While EasyFind is searching, it's already displaying search results. Do not click on the results, if you want to delete these files. If you do so, the files get selected. But: in the process of finding more results, the results get rearranged in the window, but the blue selection bars get not. They stay where they were and now select random results. VERY dangerous if you do not check and double check!
This major bug should be fixed immediately!
In the HELP menu of EasyFind is a CONTACT menu. Selecting it does nothing. And I'm too tired to register in yet another "forum" just to shoot a lil bug report. Sorry. Maybe the developer reads here.
The GUI of EasyFind is very OS9 like. It works but should be just visually a little more modernized to reflect OSX. Also it would be time saving when clicking in the search bar would automatically select the complete entry (for overwriting).
It is still my best search tool. Nothing comes close. Barebones, clean. Remove the bugs and polish the GUI. Then it is a winner.

It has never crashed nor stopped responding.
It will find files when searching for file contents by simply inserting an applicable URL in the search field.

This app is a godsend, because it means I can disable Spotlight completely. One thing I would love to see though, is for this app to be one that users leave running all the time - no icon in the Dock, access via Menubar, etc. Having to install something like Spark just to be able to launch EasyFind via hotkey is kind of a drag (I don't really need Spark for anything else), as is having to launch via the Dock (or Launchpad, ugh).

I use EasyFind with Sparkle allowing me to call EasyFind through cmd-F.
Give EasyFind a try. This app is highly recommended.

For those having trouble with Spark on newer systems, check out Find Any File (by me) - it has built-in support for a hotkey.
