Although it claims you can add any movie file that can be opened in Quicktime to the Movie Jukebox library this is not the case. Even with Flip4Mac installed it will not allow you to add .wmv files unless they have been opened in Quicktime and saved as a .mov file first. Also, any .avi file with the FourCC code XVID will cause Movie Jukebox to quit, even if these files open fine in Quicktime with the DivX, Perian or FFusion codecs installed. Doctoring these files with DivX Doctor allows them to be added for some reason though.

I only have one small problem: I don't see subtitle support anywhere. I personally don't ever use subs but some people like to have them so it would be a nice option.
I'll definitely pay the shareware fee for this one!

Very bad stability, but this software is very promising...

Two noticeable problems, both relating to speed:
1) Connectin to IMDB seems insanely slow. I can manually look up and read IMDB entries with Safari long before Movie Jukebox has found them. No idea why this takes so long - I was literally doing the Safari viewing while Movie Jukebox was churning away in the background.
2) I'm adding a few movies to the database directly from DVD-Rs - this is one of the features touted by Movie Jukebox. I'm sitting here listening to my DVD drive thrash, and again I can't figure out why. Seems like all Movie jukebox needs to do is get the name, type, and a pointer to the file. Instead, it appears to be reading the entire movie. This may make adding movies from disc media unusable, which would significantly cut down on the utility of this app.
