Split Me is an application that can split and join Divx video files.
this didn't do anything for me either. there was no output file created at all. don't bother.
Told it where Mencoder was, tried to join two files, I click, it rips through the progress bar in about 3 seconds, but doesn't appear to actually DO anything at all. And the app has a VERY clumsy GUI. Useless.
The same happens here.
I joins in 2-3 seconds and nothing happens
I've used Split me, and, once you have hardly installed mencoder, it works great !
Just remind to search your file in the mencoder folder
thanks for this useful soft
i have mencoder installed from a previous installation of ffmpeg tool.
although the folder usr/ appears "invisible" to the OS search tool, but i can see the bin folder with the mencoder installed.
installing developer tools will solve the problem?
Crap, useless crap! Tells me I don't have Mencoder installed... I can find it, other real Apps can find it why the heck cant this POS find it?
Installed it correctly, set the prefs correctly, went to split a file, progress bar showed it was active, nothing was split.
Split Me 1.3.1 just filled a void (space) in my hard drive.
In other words it didn't work!
I just got the same problem.
Please, i ask who can help me to make this Split me run to write me...i have been trying for days and it DOES NOT work. I followed all instructions and nothing.
I am done and i don't know what else i can possibly do. I also wrote to the programmer of it, he answered me back that sometimes it works and sometimes not, and to be honest, to know this doesn't help me at all.
Thank you all.
Split Me works quite well, if you poke around the preferences. It's a graphical front-end for two features of Mencoder(split and join). I needs to have the proper path of Mencoder set in the preferences dialog.
Since this program doesn't work, use the command line. If you already downloaded this, it requires you to have mencoder; so in the Terminal, cd to where your video files are, and type the following:
% mencoder -ovc copy -oac copy -endpos h:mm:ss -o foo-part1.avi foo.avi
% mencoder -ovc copy -oac copy -ss h:mm:ss -o foo-part2.avi foo.avi
of course, replace foo.avi with the name of your actual file, and replace h:mm:ss with the actual time you want to split the file at.
It would be better if it let me split my diVx into 2 parts like its supposed to do. If anybody has a REAL way to do this, drop me an e-mail.
