Its great if you have Photoshop and a single brand of camera like a Canon that does a jpeg with the raw image.
Can't complain about the price, but this application could be so much more with some further development. Slide show is buggy music skips doesn't work with associated pictures. HTML conversion crashes if you use rebuilt image associations. Needs the ability to save "locations" and easily switch on or off these locations. Help files are a bit out of date and need to be updated.
Tons of potential here...

I don't see any "similar" recommendations that accomplish the same thing economically.
Why hasn't anyone come up with an alternative just to efficiently view images & crossreference metadata & EXIF in a database?
iPhoto bogs down.
A lot of people want speedy cataloging, yet don't want to print or edit their images from the application - think of it as the Kodak 126mm format mindset for people with thousands of photos.
