One Key is a simple, integrated and elegant solution for using the function keys on your keyboard to launch applications or files with a simple key press. One Key is integrated into the system as an OS X preference pane to stay out of your way. No fancy setup is required to get it working, unlike other hot key apps, One Key is one step simple.

This version of one key has a terrible bug! With every application I launch with it, it launches the it twice. So when I hit the FKEY I have set for Safari, for instance, I have two Safari applications running at the same time. I didn't even know you could do this! I certainly don't know why anyone would want to do it.

I love the quick reply and quick fix to the All Item Windows problem I was having in OSX 10.7.2.

Well worth the price!!

looks handy but needs more exceptions for built in functions other than the expose button like previous/playpause/next then I'd probably buy it

Works great! Now the function keys on my Mac Pro (with non-aluminum white/clear plastic keyboard) actually do something. The features that sealed the deal are that if no app is specified for a function key, then the default behaviour applies (so I can still use Exposé), and if I want (in the case of a MacBook), I can press Command plus a function key to revert to the default function key behaviour.

Doesn't work whatsoever !

Assigned apps to my function keys but no result. YES, I checked the boxes needed in the pref pane.

Make sure you are actually triggering One Key with the function keys. If you are using a powerbook you must use the 'fn' key with the f keys. If you continue to have problems, please contact us via our support page on our web site.

One Key BUG!
After installing One Key and configuring it worked. Then, after restart, everything stopped working. From my "investigations", deleting its preference file makes it work again until next restart, but makes me wonder: what kind of debugging do they do? I know it's only $5 but anyway it should work. Lame developers!! :-(

We aim to please all our users, please contact us using our support web page if you're having problems with One Key. One Key works as expected for thousands of users, calling us "lame" and accusing us of not test One Key is simply unfounded.
