Without having this App, when you get an email regarding an event, hover your mouse cursor over the date, you will see an arrow to the right, click on it and from the list and chose Create an iCal event. When the window opens, you can edit the information before saving.

I'd love to use Mail2iCal but not being a geek I have no idea how. The site has no instructions.
Can anyone help?
In its current form, the script doesn't support 12 hour (i.e. AM/PM) time formats. By replacing the line
set EndMins to (word 9 of paragraph 1 of theBody)
if (EndHours = "AM") or (EndHours = "PM") then
set EndHours to word 9 of paragraph 1 of theBody
set EndMins to word 10 of paragraph 1 of theBody
set EndMins to word 9 of paragraph 1 of theBody
I've hacked Outlook / Exchange Meeting Request support into Mail2iCal. I've sent my changes to the developer, but in the meantime, see here:
Using Mail 1.3.3 and 1.5.2 on Mac OS X.3.2 (French)
The mail2ical operation just export the address of the sender and the subject into the event field.
Other fields are empty.
Tipically I would like to get the body into the notes field.
I would really like to see message parsing to extract the Where: and When: and duration of a meeting announcement sent via Microsoft Exchange. As it is meetings are posted to iCal on the date which the meeting announcement was sent. But this is a nice start.
