Conto is a simple application that allows you to keep track of your expenses and incomes on a monthly basis. Its features include:

support for different currencies, number formats, date formats;
strong encryption (requires GnuPG);
support for storing any account-related information;
full undo-redo capabilities;
drawing histogram from your data

What's New

Version 1.2:

Added a search field à la iTunes. As you type, Conto displays only the records whose descriptions contain the text you entered. At the same, total income, expense and balance are computed on the fly over the shown items.
When viewing help in the Help Viewer, now links should always work.
After entering a record, input fields are cleared.

Requirements
PPC / Intel, Mac OS X 10.0 or later.

Very easy! It's simple, so don't expect many features. I hope the author includes minor updates and Universal binary support, although it hasn't been updated in years.

I just downloaded this program and set up my information. Very easy to use. It has some very nice features compared with others. I've tested it out and am very pleased to have found this program. I recommend it.

I really wish this was still being updated. Short of not having multiple accounts that you can move money between, it is quite useful, easy to change around, and dare I say intuitive. Oh, and free. Better than expensive Excel overkill anyday.

A neat little application that does what it promises, providing just the right tradeoff between functionality and simplicity. It sure beats figuring out enough Excel to do the same thing!

This is a handy little application that works very well. I like they simple interface and that I can personalize it to my needs. If you like spreadsheets and use them for your finances you may find this software useless, but for those of us who are too lazy to make a finance spreadsheet or who hate the look of them this is the only free alternative and gets the job done. I use OS 10.1.5.
