I have tried iDVD, Toast7 to authorize my tivo recordings without success. iDVD don't except mpeg stream and Toast 7 seem to have problem re-encoding. Dvd Studio Pro? I don't have money plus I heard it also won't except mpeg stream.
For a long time, I've been using tytool in VirtualPC to authorize DVD because it does not re-encode my tivo stream. This is a plus because I don't want to waste time and also re-encode may lost the stream quality and increase disk space.
This app does exactly the same the plus more. I can easily arrange my title menu while in tytool I have to use templates. Sizzle also has multiple audio tracks and multiple sub-titles. I'm not going to use it but that is more than expectation.
Saving the result to dmg is a awesome feature. That means I can test my image without burning it to DVD first. When it is perfect, I can then burn with Toast 7
The interface is a little complicated. I couldn't figure out how to add multiple shows in 1 menu, especially in the title menu. The sub menu can points to multiple chapters which is not neccessary in my opinion.
It is too bad that Sizzle's website and the author seem to disappeard. Please come back and continue this wonderful little app. I suggest to put up a paypal donation to fund the life of the project.

Each title of the disc can have its audio and video from one or more MPEG files and will have an associated menu. That menu can have buttons made of text and images that play parts of the title or do some other limited things as well as a background image and sound.
The main (TOC- table of contents) menu that appears when you first put the disc in your player can jump to any of the other title menus from a button.
I believe that description is fairly complete. If you want to copy several TV episodes, for example to a disc, you can do it, but they can only be played from their own menus, which makes using the disc more complicated than you'd probably expect.
The program also problems with large buttons and sometimes mysteriously doesn't let you select or move buttons (and heaven help you if you overlap two of them).
Even given those shortcomings, this is a nice program. It's small and straightforward- and free! Give it a try, but don't be surprised if you're somewhat disappointed.

If it works for you great, but I wouldn't hold any high expectations for it in the future.

In my case I've added 5-6 .VOB files as titles and the app seems to like them, but I can't figure out a way to make them appear on the main menu so as to be played: this would seem to be the absolute basic minimum that one could ask from a program like this.
It's a real shame that all the links to the developer are dead ones.
You also can't jump to a title or its menu from another title's menu. You can only go back to the TOC menu.
These seem to be limitations of Sizzle and not the underlying dvdauthor program. Is there anywhere one can still get the source to Sizzle? I'd be glad to take a swing at fixing it up.

(Or am I just too stupid to handle the simplicity of this app?)

Great (and only free) DVD App for G3 systems.
Easy menu creation system - but could use better documentation.
Good Preview and fast encoding.
Could use a way to duplicate buttons.
Would be nice if it coudl directly accept iMovie files - it needs to be converted first - but the conversion tools are free - if not intuitive.
Thanks for a great DVD solution.
