Version 2.0.7: Release notes were unavailable when this listing was updated.
FWIW, here's what Markspace had to say about the 2.0.7 release in their blog:
"The Mac version of Missing Sync for iPhone recently received a maintenance update, version 2.0.7 (41).
For those new to the application, key features include:
* Create your own custom ringtones from your music library
* Sync Notes, Tasks and Documents (with Fliq Notes, Fliq Tasks, Fliq Documents on your mobile)
* Archive voice mails, text messages, and call history
This update includes:
* Support for the latest iOS devices running iOS 5
* Support for Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion"
* Dramatic performance increases in the included SMS Log application
Now that we have added support for 10.7/Lion, this release drops support for Mac OS X 10.4 and older Macs with PowerPC processors."
well, I have this app over 2 years, and I must admit, there was few problems with My HTC Keiser and Missing Sync for Windows Mobile, but now at the current version, I realy must tell that this app is just fine. Not to die for, but everything work.

good luck to you all who dare purchase this software. after a disaster with the palm version and the "work once, never again" madness of the WinMo version, you would have to be be crazy about trusting these guys with any software.
I will never understand how bad developers figure that lackluster products and support will get you far, because it certainly wont- hence this comment.
Missing sync 2 withe the Fliq modules on the iPhone works fantastic once the updated iasks module is released shortly the todo from iCal will be on the phone. Launch the Fliq documents on the iPhone press sync button and the missing sync on the mac launches and syncs the data over wifi.
Agreed - v2 of the iPhone Missing Synch is excellent! Having my old Palm notes now synch both ways to and from my iPhone is wonderful! ... Now only if we could edit .doc files using something ...
In the past I've had good experiences using Missing Sync for Palm. Apparently that caused me to not read the product descriptions for this iPhone edition. Within several hours of purchasing I had discovered that the software simply doesn't do what I had inferred from the publisher's descriptions.
As perhaps a merely semantic point: there is no 'Sync' (i.e. synchronizing, as in keeping the data in two locations matching) going on at all.
If, as the previous poster suggests, this is a limitation that Apple has made insurmountable then this piece of software should simply not have been published under currently inappropriate name it bears.
I've bought The Missing Sync for iPhone some months ago. Now with the update to 1.0.2 it's the first time (!) it works for me.
BUT: While I understand that Apple's API doesn't allow two way syncing so far nevertheless there would have been a lot of room for improvement which could have be done already in the past from the Missing Sync's manufacturer MarkSpace. Unfortunately they missed it and so Missing Sync for iPhone is still a very rudimentary solution even mostly without standard features like e.g. sorting dates up or down in SMS Log, showing your contact in sent SMS in SMS Log etc.
So I think it's still highly overpriced and therefore not recommendable at all !

Now if Apple opens up Bluetooth, then BT sync would be even better.
