Although most of the blame likely belongs to Apple, this very large app thoroughly crashed my iTunes/iPhone on the initial sync to install it on the iPhone. Subsequently my iPhone refused to display stored media, play custom ringtones, and ... successfully launch ANY application other than than those that came pre-installed on the iPhone. It required a complete restore (i.e., many hours) to get things working again. And I am still reentering data that iTunes allegedly stores into a file that never actually works.
I'd recommend passing on this until they remove the logo watermark and Apple writes some software that actually works.

Go to the Settings pages (click on the small i button on the top right of the index screen) and this takes you to the cover data, settings and about pages.
The settings has the background switch - just slide it over to "OFF" and it will stay off for you.
Also, make sure you check out the About pages as it has the full appendices from the book. The most comprehensive information on words you will ever need.
NOTE: This is a very large application so read up on the installation guides and trouble shooting guide. Any problems are not from our application as this was fully tested by Apple prior to release. Keep up to date with your OS updates and iTunes updates. This is very important.
Please note also that developers LOVE feedback - good and bad - from customers. The best place to give this feedback is directly to the developer who can answer you directly. Leaving comments on iTunes and other review sites is great, but if you want a personal reply and solutions, go straight to the source as well.
We made the background a selectable feature based on feedback - some loved it and some people hated it so to keep everybody happy we made it selectable.
